Myrrh Essential oil

The Myrrh Essential oil is an excellent oil to use for mature, oily and chapped skin. This oil is incredibly rich in powerful antioxidants and can protect the skin from free radical damages. Myrrh oil can help to maintain a firm and healthy skin. It is used in aromatherapy to heal damaged skin and boost the immune system and it may relieve itches, swellings and skin inflammations.

Historically the Ancient Egyptians used it in the mummification process, and have been used as perfume, incense and medicine. The Chinese frequently used myrrh as a medicine, and it remains a part of traditional Chinese medicine to this day. It is also known as one of the gifts given to the newborn Jesus along with Gold and Frankincense. One of the most common historical uses of Myrrh oil was to burn the resin over hot coals, and that would release a mysterious and spiritual presence before a religious ceremony. It’s also being used today in some religions in the same way and is used for the meditative quality.
