Tea Tree Essential oil Organic
Tea Tree essential oil is being used as first aid oil with its antibacterial and antifungal properties. It is an excellent oil to use for acne prone skin. The oil has powerful antioxidant properties that can significantly improve the appearance of blemishes and scars on the skin.
Historically Tea Tree oil first came to the attention of Western Society in 1732 when Captain James Cook made his famous trip around the world. When they landed in Australia, Captain Cook brewed a spicy and refreshing tea from the leaves of the Melaleuca Alternifolia tree thus naming it the "Tea Tree." It was used extensively until Penicillin was invented. The aboriginals shared their healing methods using this tree with James Cook which brought back the tea tree oil and had a doctor test it. The doctor confirmed its natural healing power and antiseptics and showed that it is even more powerful than that of the Aloe Vera plant. Australian soldiers fighting in World War I were given supplies of tea tree oil to employ as a disinfectant. During World War II, the Australian army and navy incorporated tea tree oil in first aid kits as an official germicide.
